Indian Classical Music
Junior School Students in Grade 3 may begin tabla lessons without prior experience. Students in Grades 5 may begin sitar lessons or Classical Indian Singing without prior experience. These private and group lessons occur in the morning before school. Lessons are subject to space and instrument availability Senior School Students in Grades 7-12 may begin group or individual lessons on sitar, tabla, santoor, classical Indian guitar, or classical Indian voice. Lessons are subject to space and instrument availability. Indian music students have the opportunity to perform solo and ensemble pieces at the Indian Music Concert which occurs every April.

Qualifications: Pursuing PhD from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. Thesis paper (Sitar style of Vishnupur Gharana, West Bengal. India) MA (Instrumental Music, Sitar) Rabindra Bharati University. Experience: over 15 years of teaching in Indian and International schools. Teaches all Indian classical melody and rhythm instruments including Sitar, Santoor, Sarod and Indian classical guitar, Tabla, Phakhawaj and Voice. Enthusiasms: Love to play in concerts (Sitar as main instrument), Sports: Badminton and Cricket. Love to cook (Bengali fish curry).
