Piano
Junior School Students in Grades 3-6 may begin or continue piano instruction through private and group lessons. These lessons are subject to space and instrument availability and are given first to students with prior learning, then to returning students, then to new students. Senior School Students in Grades 7-12 may begin or continue piano instruction through private and group lessons. These lessons are subject to space and instrument availability and are given first to students with prior learning, then to returning students, then to new students.
Ms. Kate Johnson
Kate Johnson teaches private piano lessons to Woodstock's junior school and senior school students and General Music to Grades ECP through 4. Kate is from the midwest United States and is in her second year of teaching at Woodstock. She graduated from St. Olaf College in Minnesota with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. Kate specializes in piano, voice, and choral instruction. She loves taking advantage of the beautiful hiking opportunities around Mussoorie
Mrs. Bethany Okie
Bethany and her husband, Abe (also a music teacher here) joined Woodstock in August 2010. She holds a BFA in Music Theatre from Shorter University and hails from Atlanta, GA where she spent the past seven years acting professionally in Atlanta and growing an active piano and voice studio. She enjoys sharing the joy of music with students by teaching voice and piano lessons.
Ms. Gayathri Parthasarathy
I received my Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance, with a minor in choral and instrumental conducting from Philadelphia University. I then completed a Master's degree from Illinois State University. After finishing a three year contract at the Kodaikanal International School in India and a brief teaching assignment at the Bangalore School of Music, I then came to Woodstock with over twenty nine years of teaching piano,music,general music and general classroom studies. I am honoured to be teaching and working with this beautiful international community and delighted to be a grandmother to my beautiful Maya who is now ten months old
