Bad Taste Party at Community Center

On Saturday, October 8, the Community Center dorm, which houses the Grade 9 boys, held a "Bad Taste Party" open house. To welcome the attendees, a large clothesline banner was hung outside the second story window which read "Welcome to CC's Bad Taste Party." The letters to form this welcome sign were attached to various boys' boxers and briefs- a truly bad taste welcome. Staff and students strolled in and out of students' decorated rooms (some cleaned for the first time in months!) and enjoyed good food and fun games like burping contests, blowing candles out with your nose, a polo mint relay, a "buried candy in flour" hunt (which was extraordinarily messy and a favorite of the Elementary School students), and a worst-dressed contest - anything and everything in bad taste. Included within the festivities was a delightfully tacky old tin tub filled with poster board bubbles & a rubber ducky - a photo opportunity for anyone who wanted to don an old shower cap and scrubber. After the party, Grade 9 held their own after party to celebrate the success of the day.
