Friday 9th September saw the next major step forward in improving the school's food services when the redeveloped Alter Ridge Dining Room was officially opened. Mars restaurants, who now manage the services for us, had envisaged the introduction of a contemporary-style food court, and this has been realised in Alter Ridge. Four separate serving areas, brightly-coloured and with individual graphic styles, are available for the students to choose from. Roti and Dosa Diner have Indian-style foods, freshly-cooked burgers and pizzas are available from Just Around the Corner, and Jazz by the Bay has an eclectic mix including soups and salads. Add to that desserts and a choice of cold drinks, and the Mars team's intention that this will be a better alternative to the bazaar seems like being fulfilled.
