Grade 9 retreat

The Grade 9 retreat, a time for class bonding and for building a class identity, took place September 16-18 at the Hanifl Center. Over the weekend, the class played fun games like "Pass the Polo mint on a toothpick" and other team games that tested their flexibility, balance and teamwork. The students' favorite game consisted of each participant hopping on one foot while bending down to pick up a bag with their teeth. Not too difficult a task, except each time someone successfully picked the bag up with their teeth, the bag was cut shorter and shorter! Grade 9 also chose their class name and class colors. They chose the colors aquamarine and black, and fittingly enough for a class full of energy, the name "Tenacious".
