!!Gymnasium Permission Granted!!

Permission was granted by the Chief Justice of the High Court in Delhi to Philip Jacob and Woodstock’s legal team to proceed with the building of the gymnasium on November 6, 2006. 

Acting Principal Kaye Aoki: “This explains the grin on Ajay Mark’s face and the sense of joy, thankfulness, and relief that Philip experienced on behalf of the many people who have been working on behalf of this development for the past eight years or so.”

Vice Principal Philip Jacob: “Patience pays. A lot of people thought things would never happen. I always believed they would happen and also realized that the circumstances that caused the problem made it essential that we take one step at a time—if only to ensure that such a totally avoidable disaster never occurs again.”

A special tea was held in the Tea Garden on Tuesday afternoon, November 7, to celebrate the beginning of gym construction with cake, candy, and kudos (and for the students’ tea as well). Also celebrated with joy was Kaye Aoki’s first granddaughter, born to Kaye’s daughter Erika and husband Dave.
