WOSA India Annual General Meeting and Luncheon
WOSA India members gathered at the Hotel Crowne Plaza Surya in Delhi on November 4th for a special luncheon and the 2006 WOSA India Annual General Meeting. In addition to ample time for socializing, the meeting provided members the opportunity to discuss key issues relating to WOSA India's future.
The gathering began at 12 noon with appetizers and beverages provided by the Crowne Plaza. At 1:00 pm, WOSA India President Bhuvenesh Kumari of Patiala '50 opened the annual meeting and introduced guest speakers Jane Cummings, Development Director; Kaye Aoki, Acting Principal; and David Jeffery, Principal.
Following greetings from the Development Office at Woodstock by Jane, general comments about activities of interest at the school from Kaye, and information regarding Woodstock's long-range goals from David, Bhuvenesh turned over the meeting to Ashoke Chatterjee '51.
Ashoke led a rousing discussion on the need for an action plan for WOSA India, and after a consensus from those present, it was decided that WOSA leadership would work directly with the Alumni and Development Office at Woodstock to appoint a committee of advisors from throughout WOSA India to create an agenda for the year and draft an action plan for alumni engagement in India.
Following the general meeting, members enjoyed a fantastic buffet lunch provided by the Crowne Plaza. All present had time to relax, enjoy the fine food and beverages, as well as interact with special guests from Woodstock and members of the Winterline Foundation Executive Board, who were in India for a Board meeting.
