St. Olaf Staff Development

Woodstock welcomed professionals from Northfield, Minn. to the hills of Mussoorie in early August for its second annual St. Olaf Staff Development Program. Two assistant professors of education from St. Olaf College along with their spouses, one middle school teacher and one school principal, made the long sometimes adventurous journey to campus where they participated in Woodstock's pre-semester staff training program."Traveling to Woodstock gives us perspective," assistant professor of education Elizabeth Leer said of the partnership between the two academic institutions. "You can otherwise get complacent [as a teacher] if you don't have any experiences to compare it to."
