New Abergeldie Cottage dedicated
Principal Kaye Aoki, along with Director of Development Jane Cummings, dedicated Abergeldie Cottage November 19th with the help of staff, architects, builders and employees. Construction began one year ago, and the four newly appointed apartments are move-in ready presently with their new occupants grinning ear-to-ear anticipating the comfort they are sure to enjoy. Long-serving staff members along with newly hired staff will move in to take advantage of the contemporary, new school-styled finishings.
Two two-bedroom units and two three-bedroom units make up the new Abergeldie building, which features one open kitchen apartment on the upper level. Each unit contains a fireplace, tiled flooring, two bathrooms with stainless steel shower basins, two geysers and a walk-out balcony. Colonel Bansal, along with local building contractor, spoke on the progressive features each of the apartments boasts. Jane Cummings dedicated the structure with a speech detailing the donors, Ralph '35 and Jane Alley, who through an annuity with Woodstock made the renovation and reconstruction possible. Requested by Mr. Alley before his death, a plaque affixed to the structure displays a quote from Louis Pasteur, "Chance opportunity favors the prepared mind."
