A couple of book publications have come to our notice over the last few months. Just before her death earlier this year, Sally Woolever '50 sent us this about a book published by a classmate:
Harold Bergsma, Class of 50, has published a novel, One Way to Pakistan, a tale of corruption and abduction in Pakistan, which I found to be a captivating story line with wonderful descriptions and perfect details that match my own childhood experiences! Reviewers have said that he "weaves a tale which is engaging and passionately written and causes us to care deeply about his characters and their fates" and that it is "a very compelling read that rates right up their with "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini" and "his characters are from all walks of life and give an insightful peek at how the other half lives." You can read more on Harold's website.

More recently, Stephen Alter hosted the launch in Delhi of his latest book, Fantasies of a Bollywood Love Thief: Inside the World of Indian Moviemaking (no doubt assisted ably by his cousin Tom!). "Alter, the author of numerous nonfiction books on India.. proves to be a singularly intelligent and insightful guide through Indian cinema.. his text will appeal to both general and more specialized audiences." - library Journal. These are just two which we have heard about. We have tried to maintain a list of Woodstock School alumni authors, but it is now quite out of date. If you can help us by telling us about publications we have missed, we'll be glad to update it. The current list can be downloaded here.
