Distinguished alumnae award ceremony

Woodstock's board of directors honored two alumnae with distinguished awards the third week in September during the school's bi-annual board meetings. Bhavenesh Kumari Patiala '50 and Dorothy Irene Riddle '60 were cited for their respective professional achievements during the Special Assembly held in Parker Hall, organized by the Development Office. Bhavenesh, with law degrees from both Delhi University and Yale University, received the award in recognition of her particular excellence and pioneering in law as a woman who was instrumental in establishing the incorporation of several multinational companies in India. Dorothy, with degrees from the University of Colorado, Duke University, and the University of Arizona, was honored for her progressive work on initiatives aimed at empowering minority groups and under-resourced economies. A multimedia presentation about each distinguished alumnae was presented to the gathered audience of high school, staff, well-wishers and friends of the award winners.

Woodstock board of directors, administration, staff and students join in extending warm congratulations to Bhavenesh and Dorothy on their exceptional lives lived within both service and accomplishment.
