Back in Business

The first full week in August saw Woodstock come to life again as students new and returning came up the hill, unpacked and launched into the new school year. High School students come back to a somewhat revised schedule that allows them a bit more time to engage in structured extracurricular pursuits. Elementary, under new Head of School Barbara Thomas, has modified its class structure, combining K-2 into a multi-age classroom. Middle School is looking forward to offering a broader variety of after school clubs to its students.

While it's never easy to begin school in the rain, the students have made the best of it, enjoying the occasional bright evenings when the rain clears out or soggy games of football in the Quad. The first big holiday of the year Indian Independence Day was celebrated in high style by Woodstock on August 15th, followed by a weeklong exploration of India's natural history during Wildlife Week, August 18th to 22nd.
