Elementary school celebrates Christmas
For the past six days, elementary school students, staff and parents have enjoyed the annual Tea Garden presentations, culminating Tuesday morning with our annual Santa Breakfast.
Each morning for the week leading up to the Santa Breakfast, one class offered a Christmas presentation in the tea garden outside of Lyon's Lounge. ECP began with a simple and lovely presentation of the nativity story. Next day the K - 2 class presented their own version of the nativity as well. The third graders told the story of how friendly spiders wove a web in front of the cave where Mary, Joseph and Jesus hid when they were fleeing to Egypt, thus protecting them from Herod's soldiers. Fourth grade, each dressed in his or her national dress, presented holiday songs from around the world. Finally, fifth grade performed a simplified Nutcracker complete with the mouse army, soldiers, dancing flowers, the nutcracker and Marie.
Finally, the morning of going-down day, parents, students and their siblings ate a lovely breakfast served by fifth graders while Santa distributed presents to all of the children. The morning ended with farewells and carols as everyone hugged goodbye for the winter break.
