A talented weekend

This past weekend saw Woodstock enjoy two talent shows. The first, the Staff Talent Show held in Parker Hall was a raucous affair. As students screamed, applauded, snapped pictures and cheered, their teachers strutted their stuff with dance, singing and comedy. One act in particular, called Evolution of Dance performed by a group of younger women teachers nearly brought the house down with cheers and applause. Other acts included James Rice and Jared Hatch, both science teachers, entertaining us with their "enlarging machine," Amy Seefeldt singing The Pearl, various talented employee groups singing, dancing and drumming and the evening winding up with a big Bollywood dance number choreographed by Meenu Khan and Vandana Vinayak and including dozens of staff.

The next morning in a more intimate venue, the elementary school held its fall talent show. The elementary students invited a local school, the Government Primary School, to participate with them. To start off, audience members enjoyed the Woodstock Indian Dance group performing a dance outdoors in the Quad. Afterwards everyone moved into the Quad Auditorium where we enjoyed music and dance performed by both schools. The morning ended with a special lunch for everyone and the opportunity for new friends to play together in the beautiful sunshine.
