The New Academic Year Begins...

Trays sliding on the food counter of the dining hall, thudding balls bouncing between four squares at the Quad, shuffling feet rushing up the steps up to the Parker Hall, gleeful screams at the playground. The familiar sounds of Woodstock returned as the Fall Semester 2009 began at the school. Students old and new settled into their residences early in the week before the first day of classes took place on Wednesday the 5th of August.

The total student strength of Woodstock School is 470 this semester from 22 different countries. 116 of the students are new to Woodstock. The most represented countries are India, USA, South Korea, Nepal, Thailand, Bhutan, Japan, and Vietnam. Many new students have also come to Woodstock via study-abroad/exchange programs.

Some of the major events taking place at the campus this semester will include the Indian Independence Day, Inter-House and Inter-School Cross Country, the opening of the school's brand new gym, Inter-House and Inter-School Sports Day, Activity Week, Drama Weekend, and the Fall concerts.

Woodstock has also welcomed 31 new staff members to the school this semester.
