No Fear!
25 High School students and a several staff were at the Hanifl Centre on the last Friday/Saturday in August for a voluntary Christian retreat, with the theme "No Fear!". The retreat was based on 1 Corinthians 13:13 - faith, hope and love. Presentations were done by staff members Joie Burchell, Gregg Miller, Amy Seefeldt and Kirsten Bradby, and there was plenty of time for reflection and discussion. One of the most intriguing parts of the weekend was a "reflective walk" up to Flag Hill. Students were given four assignments en route, the first being to walk from the Centre to JB1 with stones in their shoes - a lesson in endurance. The music for the weekend was in the hands of the students, who did a good job of leading the times of worship.
