Final Assembly, Special Dinner, Santa Breakfast. And we're free!
For the students, the most anticipated day of the semester neared - with High School examinations finishing on Friday, December 11th, the traditional final assembly for High School was held that afternoon, signaling the end of the semester. Middle School students attended a special final dinner and talent show at the Quad Dining Hall on Friday evening, which was followed by Dorm Parties at the various residences. Elementary School students attended 'Santa Breakfast' on Saturday morning.
'Going Down Day' the three most cherished words in the Woodstock student psyche, was celebrated on Saturday, December 12th. Most of the students on 'School Party' left Mussoorie for New Delhi by trains and buses on Saturday while some had to wait till early Sunday morning to catch their train. The students would then proceed to embark on Delhi on their personal ways, mostly by catching the necessary flights to their countries of being picked up at New Delhi by their parents. Several parents and guardians came to the Woodstock campus to pick up their children personally.
It has been an eventful and memorable semester - the High School final assembly covered some of the highlights since September, including the announcement of the inter-house athletic scores and the student goodbyes. 11th grade students Bu Lee and Shreen Vaid were honoured during the assembly for being the two high school students with the highest amount of merits over the course of the semester.
The Santa Breakfast was an anticipated time for the Elementary School students on Saturday. Besides breakfast, there were presentations by students and a visit by Father Christmas himself!
