Elementary School Hindi Field trip

On 27th April 2006, Grade 5 students went to Sherwood Public School, an Elementary school in Dehradun, for a Hindi Field Trip.

On reaching there we saw a Puppet Show that the school had arranged for us. We then played a few games to break the ice. Eventually we sat down and did some intensive writing in Hindi where each group was given a starting sentence and then they had to complete writing the story, draw pictures to illustrate it and then act it out. Sherwood School sang a song in Hindi and English and then we sang a song in English. Towards the end each child had to make a "Buddy ", get to know them and exchange addresses. At the end we had a wonderful snack which all enjoyed. The chaperones Mr & Mrs Anshuman Singh and I came back with a rather tired but a very excited group of students.
