Woodstock Employees' Community Welfare Program
Under the Woodstock Employee's Community Welfare Program, we conducted a meeting with our employee's wives at the Alter Ridge Dining Hall on the 1st of June 2006 taking in consideration the issues related to Health and Sanitation. Mrs. Usha Das (Health In Charge of Government Community Health Centre, Mussoorie) was invited to give a talk on the issues related to health and sanitation. Mrs. Poonam Bhatia (Human Resource Manager Woodstock School) was also with us as an encouragement to the woman attending the program. The main objective of our meeting was to make the women aware about their own health and hygiene. We also wanted to gather them together and build relationships with our employee community to help them develop themselves for the betterment of the community.
Mrs. Bhatia Meeting began by encouraging employees wives to unite and join us in this welfare program. She also shared her thoughts regarding the future prospects of this program in the field of adult literacy and health and sanitation issues.
Mrs. Usha Das talked about women's health and hygiene, including information about AIDS, family planning and household sanitation and cleanliness. A quiz followed, with prizes of household items for those who were able to answer correctly. The day ended with refreshments. Feedback from the women was positive; everyone was pleased and appreciated the activity conducted by the School for the betterment of our employee community.
