CCC (Cooking, Crafts and Cards)
As part of our Transitions program, which is geared to help Woodstock students make the jump between schools easier and less scary, the Grade 5's spent Friday evening 19th May at Ridgewood and Alter Ridge while the Grade 8's visited Midlands and Community Centre. Various staff members took small groups of Grade 5, 6, and 7 students to their homes and workshops to make dreamcatchers or nerf balls, or to do pottery or carpentry. Others did crocheting and macramé. Still others played card games (and ate!!) or cooked and baked. One group went for a hike around the Camel's Back (that starts with a "c" too!). Everyone agreed it was delightful time and wants CCC to happen more often next semester!
