8th Annual Win Mumby Basketball Tournament
This event was, as ever, a wonderful occasion at Woodstock. A total of 16 teams from Delhi, Punjab, and Uttrakhund took part in this tournament. Woodstock hosted the teams at Hanifl Centre, in Midlands, Ridgewood, Hostel and a hotel in Landour. The sound of cheering students could be heard all over the hillside; it was great to see students and staff streaming down the hill in the late afternoon to encourage our teams. This year the semi-finals were as far as the girls' team got against Welham Girls' School. This team eventually went on to win the finals against Montford School, Delhi. The finals for the boys' section was the most exciting finals in the history of the Win Mumby Tournament. There were two extra times of five minutes and eventually Montford School Delhi beat Woodstock by just one basket. The final score for this game was 74-72. Most valuable players of the tournament were Ritika Kalka, Wellhams' Girls, and Amol of Montford School.
