New employee facility opened
The old building at the rear of the Quad, overlooking Tehri Road, has been in a poor state for some time, and last year plans were drawn up for its complete overhaul. These plans incorporated a new Central Store, a permanent Project Office, seismic reinforcement to the entire building and - most importantly - new facilities for the employees at Quad level - locker rooms, bathrooms, toilets and a lounge area. The building work is now complete, and on the last day of the staff retreat, Friday 2nd February, the building was officially opened.
Staff and employees gathered eagerly to view the new facility, and after a prayer offered by Mr. S. P. Chelvam, Head of Security, the ribbons were cut by Mrs. Kaye Aoki, Principal, Mr. Nigel Cooper, Projects Manager, and Mr. Ashish Jain, Contractor. The traditional laddoos were served, and employees in particular were keen to look around and be photographed in their new space.
Woodstock School recognises the immense contribution made by its employees, who in some cases are third and fourth generation servants of the school; we are glad to have this opportunity to demonstrate our gratitude in a tangible way.
