No play while the boss is away

Woodstock's Principal, Dr. David Laurenson, is spending four weeks traveling to numerous Alumni events and meetings. It is important for new administrators of Woodstock to know not only where Woodstock is going, but also where Woodstock came from. Understanding the importance and immense interest Woodstock Alumni have in their alma mater, Dr. Laurenson has planned a series of WOSA gatherings around the world. These will help Dr Laurenson get a better sense of the school's diverse history. Dr. Laurenson, along with alumni coordinator Chris Starr, will be traveling across the US for many alumni events. One the most exciting events held in New York is the Distinguished Alumni ceremony for Dr. Robert Scott. Dr. Scott was scheduled to attend his Distinguished Alumni ceremony this past October at Woodstock School; however he was unable to attend the event at the very last minute, so he gets to have one in New York.

Dr. Laurenson will also be attending the Friends of Woodstock board meetings in Chicago, and there will be other alumni gatherings in Chicago and Minneapolis. After this speedy trip through the US, Dr. Laurenson and Chris Starr will make their way to New Zealand to meet with alumni from Dr Laurenson's native land. He will also be the visiting speaker for his alma mater's 100th Anniversary celebrations. There will be alumni gatherings in Auckland and Wellington. Sydney and Melbourne.

Back at Woodstock, staff and administrators will be kept busy overseeing all functions of the school, including preparing for Board meetings, organizing the March WSMUN conference, the student talent show, and a myriad of up-coming events.
