South Korean Education Broadcasters visit Woodstock

Documentary producers representing the South Korean broadcasting company Educational Broadcasting System (EBS) visited Woodstock School over the past week to film a documentary. Led by Director Choi Young Gee, the group, which have set out on a tour of Indian schools to film different types of educational systems, filmed Woodstock life in the classrooms, residences, music practices, and the gymnasium.

Woodstock was the first stop for the group in India, who will be in the country for 20 days and visit four or five more schools. According to Gee, a half-an-hour long feature on Woodstock will be shown on EBS over the course of a day.

"We want to learn about different education systems and diverse styles to help shape an ideal form of educational system in the future," said Gee, "My experience at Woodstock was great - the students look very happy here."

He added: "There were many things about the school that we liked, but we were most impressed by how Woodstock has used its surroundings in outdoor education and to help the students understand the environment."

EBS is a prestigious network in South Korea which is well known for its documentary and education programmes.
