Woodstock students discuss 'Adopt a Road' initiative on Radio Netherlands

10th graders Priyankar Chand and Sukham Kaur were interviewed by Australian freelance journalist Lesley Branagan for Radio Netherlands Worldwide (RNW) about the ‘Adopt a Road’ initiative, the clean-up work being done on Tehri Road. The interview was aired on the radio station's special 'Kids and Climate Change' segment on June 4, 2010.

Priyankar and Sukham led the 10th grade campaign to 'adopt' Tehri Road, as they raised money to place metal dustbins, pick up garbage, separate recyclable trash, and involve the local community to help out with their efforts. Other students of the school, staff, Mussoorie's Municipality, CLEAN, and local church Friends of Garhwal also joined the students in this initiative.
