Ben Lall, Director of Finance
Ebenezer Lall, aka Ben Lall, is an alumnus of Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie. He pursued further studies at St. Francis' College, Lucknow and Lucknow Christian College. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991, and practised for six years in Lucknow as a partner in M/s Mohan & Co., Chartered Accountants. Emigrating to Canada in 1997, he requalified as a Certified General Accountant (CGA). Ben worked in Woodstock for one year (1988-1989) as a dorm parent and Accounting teacher. Married to Sangeeta and with two boys Siddhant & Arpit, Ben now regards Toronto, Canada as home. He joined Woodstock in the Fall semester of 2008.
Abhrajit Bhattacharjee '92, Director of Development
Abhra graduated in the Class of 1992 after 5 years at Woodstock, brings to this role more than 10 years of experience in public relations and communications for technology multinationals, as well as a passion and commitment for Woodstock. Most recently Abhra was based in Singapore where he worked for Dell, Inc., and was responsible for global product communications for all of Dell's Consumer and Small & Medium Business products. Since 1999, Abhra has also served nearly four terms as the youngest member of the Board of Directors, has been a member of the Development and Alumni Relations Committee, Student Life Committee and has also served as the Chair of the Governance & Nominations Committee. Abhra also served as the Campaign Director of the ambitious Woodstock 150 Capital Campaign from 2001-2003.
S. Suryanarayan, Director of Human Resources
S Suryanarayan, Surya to friends and colleagues spent his childhood until his graduation in Bhopal where he completed his bachelors in science. After that he spent 2 years working as a plant personnel manager with Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) in Rourkela, Orissa. Then he completed his PGDPM&IR from XLRI, Jamshedpur in 2001. After his post graduation he has worked in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and delhi where he was working last with Thomas Cook (India) Ltd. as Associate Vice President, Human Resources (Northern Region). He is married to Uma and has a 4 year old son Ayush.
Kirsten Bradby '96, Director of Admissions
Kirsten Bradby was a student at Woodstock from kindergarten to eighth grade. She went on to complete her schooling in England. After spending five years working as a lawyer in London, she was ready for a change. She is very much enjoying being back at Woodstock. She loves the beautiful Himalayan setting, and the joy of seeing students from such a wide variety of different backgrounds come together to learn and live and grow in this unique community. She enjoys travel and the opportunity to play the violin in school ensembles.
Andrew Plonka , Head of Senior School
After working as a professional journalist for three years and an ESL instructor in Japan for two years, Andrew Plonka returned to his native Chicago to teach high school English. There, he taught journalism and, for five years, IB English. He joined Woodstock School in June 2008 and has taught AP English 11 and 12, drama, and journalism. He was appointed as head of senior school from July 2010.
Sanjaya Mark, Head of Junior School
Sanjaya Sarah Mark, BA (Hons), BS, CISL. An Indian , Sanjaya has twelve years experience as a school head. Her hobbies include: travelling, visiting wildlife parks, reading, cooking, walking, and meeting old and new friends. She especially enjoys being involved in the nurturing of students and encouraging them to become good learners and responsible citizens.
Jeff Doerfler, Head of Student Services
Jeff has worked in U.S. schools for the past 22 years as a teacher, counselor, and coach. During that period he also workedat a summer camp in Minnesota as a counselor, Program Director and Director. He has a B.S. Degree in Education and M.S. Degree in Counseling/Psychology. He spent one summer working in orphanages in Russia which led to his desire to work at an international school. Jeff came to Woodstock as a counsellor in July 2009, and was appointed as director of student services from July 2010.
Howard Wilkins, Chaplain
Following many years in Bangladesh, Howard and his wife Jill first came to Woodstock in 1991, where he taught mathematics and physics, and later was appointed as chaplain. Returning to his native Melbourne in 1996, Howard worked as chaplain at Carey Baptist Grammar School. He returned to Woodstock in July 2010.
