Health Centre
Anitra Mansson, HOD
Anitra Mansson is herself a graduate from Woodstock School. After graduation she spent several years in Denmark (where she got her nursing degree) before returning to Hawaii. In Hawaii, Anitra worked for many years in the Operating Room, both as a staff nurse and as a supervisor. Returning to Woodstock had been a dream of hers for quite some time. So she is thrilled to be back, together with her son who is now a senior.
The Health Centre has 16 beds and is staffed 24 hours. There are 6 nurses that staff the Health Centre. A Doctor from nearby Landour Community Hospital comes to visit three mornings a week. There is a long association with the Landour Community Center (which is situated about a mile down the road) and the Health Centre staff work closely with the Doctors there. Staff and students are referred to specialists in the nearby town of Dehra Dun when the need arises.
