Mussoorie

Known as the "Queen of the Hills", Mussoorie lies along a ridge at 6,600 feet in the foothills of the Himalaya. Mussoorie is a popular town, once said to present a 'fairyland' atmosphere to tourists. It is 30 kilometres from Dehradun, the fast-growing capital of the state of Uttarakhand. Above Mussoorie lies the older and quieter settlement of Landour, first established as a British military station in the eighteenth century.
